Terms and Conditions of Use

1. GENERAL PROVISIONS

1.1 These general terms and conditions of sale apply exclusively between the Owner and the Consumer who purchases online the products offered on the website of the XI International Conference on Computational Bioengineering - ICCB 2025 - Academy UCBM.

1.2 By using the website ("Site") and/or placing an order, the Consumer accepts these general terms and conditions of sale. We therefore invite you to carefully review these terms before proceeding with an order.

1.3 These terms of sale may be subject to modifications, and the date of publication on the Site corresponds to their effective date.

2. PURPOSE OF THE CONTRACT

2.1 These general terms and conditions of sale regulate the purchase of participation in the International Conference on Computational Bioengineering (ICCB).
Each individual package is described in detail on the website: ICCB 2025, where you can find information regarding registration fees, enrollment procedures, benefits, and other details.

2.2 Access to the Site allows the Consumer to choose among the following registration options:

  • Delegates: Banquet included, with payment before and after June 6, 2025.
  • Delegates: Banquet excluded, with payment before and after June 6, 2025.
  • Students: Banquet included, with payment before and after June 6, 2025.
  • Students: Banquet excluded, with payment before and after June 6, 2025.
  • Accompanying persons: Banquet included, with payment before and after June 6, 2025.

3. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY PROTECTION

3.1 The Consumer acknowledges that the texts, data, software, photographs, graphics, videos, music, sounds, images, illustrations, drawings, icons, and any other material on the Site are protected by copyright or other intellectual property regulations and are the exclusive property of the Owner and/or third parties. Duplication, reproduction (even partial), downloading, saving, disclosure to third parties, publication, or dissemination by any means—and generally, any act of disposal or use of the material contained on the Site in any form, through existing or future media and technologies—is prohibited unless expressly stated otherwise on the Site or with prior written authorization from the Owner and/or the respective rights holders.

4. REGISTERED TRADEMARKS

4.1 The Università Campus Bio-Medico brand, as well as the logo used on the Site, are registered trademarks and are the exclusive property of UCBM. Any third-party trademarks and logos on the Site are the exclusive property of their respective owners. The use or reproduction of these trademarks and logos in any form and manner is strictly prohibited.

5. SITE ACCESS

5.1 To register for the International Conference on Computational Bioengineering, the Consumer must select the preferred participation mode and complete the purchase directly.

6. CONCLUSION AND EFFECTIVENESS OF THE CONTRACT

6.1 The sales contract is considered finalized upon the sending of a confirmation email by the Owner. This communication will be sent to the Consumer at the time of payment receipt, to the email address provided during registration or direct purchase for the International Conference on Computational Bioengineering.
If the order cannot be processed, the Owner will send an email notifying the Consumer of the unsuccessful transaction.

6.2 The confirmation email includes the following information:
(i) Consumer details;
(ii) Order number;
(iii) Selected package;
(iv) Billing details;
(v) A link to download and store these general terms and conditions of sale.

7. PAYMENT METHODS

7.1 Consumers can register for the International Conference on Computational Bioengineering through the Site using the following payment method:

7.2 The Owner reserves the right to introduce additional payment methods.

7.3 Payments are accepted only in euros (€).

8. PRICES AND DISCOUNTS

8.1 The prices listed on the Site are in euros and do not include VAT.
Article 10, paragraph 1, No. 20) of D.P.R. 633/72 exempts from VAT educational services related to childhood, youth, and professional training, provided by recognized institutions or schools.
Invoices issued without VAT will include a €2 stamp duty at the time of registration.

8.2 Consumers who register before June 6, 2025, are entitled to the benefits outlined on the Site.

8.3 Discounts cannot be combined.

9. RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL

9.1 The Owner grants the Consumer the right to withdraw from the online sales contract for the International Conference on Computational Bioengineering, without penalties and without specifying a reason, within 14 days from the contract's conclusion (i.e., from the date of payment confirmation email).

9.2 To exercise the right of withdrawal, the Consumer must notify the Owner by an explicit declaration, which can be sent via:

Alternatively, the following form may be used:

9.3 To comply with the withdrawal deadline, the Consumer must send the withdrawal request before the 14-day period expires.

9.4 If the Consumer exercises the right of withdrawal, they will be refunded the amount paid without undue delay and in any case within 14 days of the Owner being informed of the decision to withdraw. The refund will be processed using the same payment method as the initial transaction.

10. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

10.1 The Owner assumes no responsibility for problems beyond its control, such as hardware/software failures, data transmission issues, or internet connectivity disruptions.

10.2 The Owner is not responsible for fraudulent or unlawful use of credit cards (or other payment methods) by third parties during payment if all reasonable precautions were taken.

10.3 To the extent permitted by law, the Owner is not liable for direct or indirect damages resulting from the use of the Site.

11. CONFIDENTIALITY

All information related to the International Conference on Computational Bioengineering is considered confidential and cannot be reproduced without prior authorization.

12. CONFIDENTIALITY

In accordance with Article 12 of Legislative Decree No. 70/2003, all submitted orders are stored digitally at the Owner's headquarters.

13. COMMUNICATIONS

14. DISPUTE RESOLUTION

14.1 These terms are governed exclusively by Italian law.

14.2 Disputes shall be resolved:

  • In Italy, at the Consumer's residence court.
  • For non-resident Consumers, at the Court of Rome.
